Association des Labrecque
Goals of the Association
The Association aims to:
- Grouping the descendants of Pierre and Jean Labrecque who arrived in New France around 1657
- Bring together persons who have the patronym of Labrecque, Labrèque, LaBrecque, LaBrack, LaBreck, LaBrake, Labrec, LaBrec and Delabrecque
- Bringing together spouses, spouses, children, friends and family
- Encourage meetings to promote, develop and popularize the history of Labrecque, especially among the younger generation
- Encourage research, the dissemination of genealogical knowledge and any topic of interest on Labrecque families
- Promote social, cultural, recreational and travel activities of members
- Publish a liaison bulletin twice a year
To meet its objectives, the Association is planning
- social activities (ex.: Corn roasts, sugar on snow)
- cultural visits (ex.: Sightseeing visits of Beaumont, Château-Richer or Sherbrooke)
- sport activities (ex.: mini golf tournament)
- annual meetings usually coupled with social or cultural activities
The decision-making body is made up of a maximum of 9 members.
